    Great fin, attachment to board not optimal

    This is my go-to fin for my Meno 11'6' for rough waters (boat wakes, high seas) and for higher wind. Two issues I think don't make sense. The tightening screw design is not ideal. You have to remove the bolt and nut from the fin, then attach them again separately, run the nut through the guide (that holds the fin to the board), unscrew it, insert the fin, line the fin up with the detached nut, and then screw the bolt back in to tighten the fin against the board. Sounds overly complicated, doesn't it? Also you run the risk of losing that nut with all the attaching and detaching. Secondly, for other fins the bolt and nut attach to the board at the rear of the fin. In this 9" fin, the bolt and nut are at the front. It probably causes negligible resistance and performance changes, but still seems like a bad design from an engineering standpoint. -have to note, Gili customer service scores low for responsiveness
